Lms Sponsored Iomgu Kay Fox Greensomes

The IOMGU Kay Fox Greensomes competition, sponsored by LMS Partners Limited, was hosted by Port St Mary Ladies Golf Club on Saturday the 25^th of May.

Whilst the numbers were down on recent years, the 32 ladies who played were blessed with a sunny day and a light breeze for this team event.

IOMGU President , Stephen Worthing, thanked Port St Mary ladies for hosting the event with the presentation being held at the Yacht Club. He outlined that according to the dates on the trophy this was the 60^th anniversary of the competition. Refreshments and cakes were provided by Port St Mary ladies which were very much appreciated.

Some good scores were achieved with the overall winners being the pair from Port St Mary golf club, of Lynda Jackson and Karen Faragher with a net 66. In second place was Shirley Price and Anne Gundry with a net 70 and in 3^rd place Fran Tinkler and her partner Shirley Strathdee with a net 71 on a countback from Jackie Fisher and Diane Neale.

There were 2 spot prizes available for nearest the pin on the 6^th & 15^th which was won by Fran Tinkler and nearest the pin in 2 on the 9^th & 18^th won by Diane Kinrade, who was the only player to hit the green in 2!
